ElevenLabs' v4 Launch Discount Is Over: Eleven v4 Now Bills $0.08 and v4 Turbo $0.04 per 1K Characters

What happened
ElevenLabs' 72% launch discount on Eleven v4 and v4 Turbo, advertised as running until 12 October, is gone, and both now bill at list: $0.08 and $0.04 per 1K characters.
Why it matters
A budget built on the launch rate is now about 3.6 times too low for both models.
What to do
Re-cost any ElevenLabs v4 workload at $0.08 (v4) or $0.04 (v4 Turbo) per 1K characters.

Our take: the rate card did not get more expensive. The launch discount on Eleven v4 and Eleven v4 Turbo has run out (ElevenLabs gave 12 October as its end date, and it was gone by our 18 October read). But if you sized a v4 budget during the promo, it is now about 3.6 times too low. Our verdict on both models stays conditional, and we still have not tested either.

What happened

ElevenLabs' API pricing page, read on 18 October and again on 30 October, lists these rates per 1K characters:

ModelLaunch promo (until Oct 12)Price now
Eleven v4$0.022$0.08
Eleven v4 Turbo$0.011$0.04

The current figures appear in every plan column, and no discount or end date text remains for either model. The page still carries a "First month 50% off" offer on Creator and a "30,000 credits for $1" offer on Starter, but those are plan promotions, not v4 rates.

The promo column comes from our own dated reads of the same page on 12 and 13 October, when it showed "72% off until Oct 12". We found no archived copy we could open, and neither the 28 September changelog entry that introduced v4 nor the v4 launch post states the discount.

We found no announcement of the change. ElevenLabs' changelog entry for 12 October covers product updates such as call queueing for new agents, with no pricing line.

Why it matters

  • $0.08 and $0.04 are not new prices. They are the list rates the page already showed beside the promo.
  • The jump is 3.6 times for both models. $0.08 divided by $0.022, and $0.04 divided by $0.011, both land at about 3.6.
  • At list, v4 costs what v3 costs. The page now lists v3 at $0.08, the same as v4, and Flash/Turbo at $0.04, the same as v4 Turbo. Price alone is no longer a reason to switch.

What changes for you

  • Re-cost every v4 workload at $0.08 (v4) or $0.04 (v4 Turbo) per 1K characters, the rates now on the pricing page.
  • If you moved from v3 for the discount, decide again on quality alone: price no longer separates them.
  • Our stance holds. Both models stay conditional in our directory. The caveat was always the gap between promo and list price, and you now pay list.

What to do

  1. 1 Re-cost v4 workloads at $0.08 per 1K characters and v4 Turbo at $0.04, the rates now on the pricing page.
  2. 2 If you moved from v3 for the discount, compare again: v3 and v4 now share the same $0.08 list price.
