Cursor
AdquiridoEditor de código centrado en IA construido sobre VS Code con integración profunda de agente.
The most polished AI editor experience today, and no longer independent: Cursor's own blog announced on August 14, 2026 that it has officially been acquired by SpaceX. The condition is cost. Usage-based pricing makes spend unpredictable for heavy agent-mode users, and the higher agent limits sit on Pro+ at $60/mo and Ultra at $200/mo, so budget before you standardize on it.
Agent mode runs inside the loop holding context; tab autocomplete is a stateless per-keystroke call — two first-class modes.

Stored tiers (Hobby, Pro $20, Pro+ $60, Ultra $200 at 20x Pro, Teams Standard $40) replaced by the live ladder: Free, Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200 (50x Plus), Teams from $30 per user, Enterprise custom; annual $80/$300/$1,000/$2,000. Page says third party model usage is not included. Entity refreshed, draft news filed, rating stays conditional.

Partial read, same shape as 2026-09-18. cursor.com/pricing fetched twice 2026-09-23 (direct and r.jina.ai): Hobby 'Free', Pro '$20 / mo.', Pro+ '$60 / mo.', Ultra '$200 / mo.', 'Save 20% with yearly billing', footer '(c) 2026 Anysphere, Inc.'. All individual tiers match stored. Teams Standard, Teams Premium and Enterprise cards did not render in either read (the ?tab=teams read shows only individual plans), so stored $40/user/mo, $40/user/mo+ and Custom are kept unconfirmed. Status 'acquired' untouched (supported by cursor.com/blog, Aug 14). No update call, data_hash c055aa6e unchanged. entity_id from this slug's actor=backfill rows (2026-07-12).

Partial read. cursor.com/pricing fetched twice 2026-09-18: Hobby Free, Individual '$20 / mo.', Teams '$40 / user / mo.', Enterprise Custom, footer '(c) 2026 Anysphere, Inc.' all match stored. Pro+, Ultra and Teams Premium render only as tab labels with no dollar figure, so stored Pro+ $60/mo and Ultra $200/mo (read 2026-09-14) could not be re-confirmed and are kept. cursor.com/changelog (newest Sep 10 'Cursor Projects') has no OpenAI model winddown and no pricing change; watch item still unsourced. No update call. entity_id taken from the 2026-07-12 backfill rows (real tool id); rows logged 2026-08-07 to 2026-09-14 used placeholder a1b2c3d4-e5f6-7890-abcd-ef1234567890.

Pricing correction (our stored error, not a vendor change): cursor.com/pricing fetched 2026-09-14 prints Pro+ "$60 / mo." (3x Pro limits on Agent) and Ultra "$200 / mo." (20x Pro limits on Agent); stored tiers read "$20/mo+" for both. Tiers corrected, and "Grok Bot access" added to Pro, Pro+, Ultra, Teams Standard, Teams Premium and Enterprise highlights as listed on the page. Pro $20/mo, Teams $40/user/mo and Enterprise Custom unchanged; Teams Premium '$40/user/mo+' kept because the page did not render a separate Premium price. Tiers are outside canonical_hash, so data_hash is unchanged by design. Verdict summary: separate same-rating verdict_set (conditional -> conditional) now names SpaceX, sourced to cursor.com/blog 'Cursor is now a part of SpaceX' (Aug 14, 2026): 'Cursor has officially been acquired by SpaceX.' announced_by_post_slug spacex-closes-cursor-acquisition. Watch item 'OpenAI model winddown 2026-11-12': not found in cursor.com/changelog or blog index on 2026-09-14; nothing written. last_verified_date still 2026-06-12 (unwritable, gap 64eddfd6). entity_id reused from prior log rows for this slug.

Deal TERMS added from a primary I fetched this run; acquirer identity was already correct. SEC Form 8-K read directly and quoted: on June 16, 2026 Space Exploration Technologies Corp., its wholly owned subsidiary X67 Inc., and 'Anysphere, Inc. ("Cursor")' entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger at 'an implied equity value of Cursor of $60.0 billion', consideration in SpaceX Class A common stock, and 'The Company currently expects the Merger to close during the third quarter of 2026.' Description rewritten to carry the agreement date, the $60.0B implied equity value, the stock consideration and the SEC filing; 8-K added to sources. SECOND, SEPARATE fetch this run resolves the standing 'close not primary-confirmed' caveat: cursor.com/blog was read directly and does carry the post 'Cursor is now a part of SpaceX' (Aug 14, 2026) stating 'Cursor has officially been acquired by SpaceX'. So the 8-K establishes the AGREEMENT and the acquirer, and the vendor's own blog establishes the CLOSE. status 'acquired' is therefore supported and was left as-is; it is NOT the openrouter case, where the acquirer's own page still says 'agreed'. Rating unchanged (conditional) and NO verdict moved: ownership is an attribute, not a verdict event. NOT drafted as news: the 8-K was already fetched and covered by daily/2026-09-09, and a second post would duplicate that lane. NOTE last_verified_date is STILL 2026-06-12 and I cannot move it: tool_update exposes no last_verified_date parameter, so the oldest staleness stamp in the directory is unclearable by the verifier (tool gap, reported).

Acquirer NAMED, closing the highest-value open watchlist item. Primary confirmed on Cursor's own blog: 'Cursor is now a part of SpaceX' (Aug 14, 2026), 'Cursor has officially been acquired by SpaceX'. The stored status 'acquired' was already correct but no field anywhere named the acquirer, leaving the tagline and description describing an independent product. Tagline and description rewritten to name SpaceX with the date and to record that cursor.com/pricing still lists Anysphere, Inc. as the operating entity. Rating unchanged (conditional) and NO verdict moved: status/ownership is an attribute, not a verdict event. Pricing re-verified against cursor.com/pricing and UNCHANGED: Hobby Free, Pro $20/mo, Pro+ $20/mo, Ultra $20/mo, Teams Standard $40/user/mo, Teams Premium $40/user/mo, Enterprise custom.
