Paperform vs Typeform: A Yearly Submission Budget vs a Monthly Response Cap

Veredictos por tarefa

Absorbing a seasonal or campaign-driven spike in submissionsPaperform vence

Paperform meters submissions per year, so a quiet January leaves budget for a busy November. Typeform's allowance is "responses/mo" and does not carry across months, so your single peak month decides which plan you must sit on all year.

The annual meter cuts both ways and our Paperform profile reads it the other direction. A spike early in the term can drain the yearly budget and leave the remaining months short, whereas a monthly cap resets every month no matter how bad the last one was. Paperform's top-ups are also bounded: Essentials cannot exceed 9,000 a year and Pro cannot exceed 30,000 even with add-ons. Paperform wins when total annual volume is predictable and its distribution is not; Typeform wins when you would rather never think past the current month.

Serving forms from your own custom domain at a published pricePaperform vence

Paperform lists a custom domain in Pro at "$49/month". Typeform's published plans go as far as a custom subdomain in Plus; no full custom domain appears on a listed tier.

A subdomain is enough for plenty of teams, and Typeform Plus at $50/month billed annually is a dollar cheaper than Paperform Pro if that is all you need.

Finding out where respondents abandon the formTypeform vence

Typeform's Business tier names "Drop-off rates, conversion tracking" as included features. Paperform's published tiers do not list abandonment analytics at all.

Both charge around $99/month monthly at the tier in question, so this is a feature difference rather than a price one, and Typeform's annual price of $83/month makes it the cheaper of the two at that level.

Running recruitment screening with recorded video answersTypeform vence

Typeform sells a Talent tier at $169/month with "Video questions & answers", AI clarification and 3,000 responses a month. Paperform publishes no comparable packaged tier.

It is a narrow, expensive tier: at 3,000 responses a month it costs more than Typeform's own Business plan, which carries more than three times the volume without the video features.

Buying SSO without a sales callPaperform vence

Paperform lists "SSO (SAML)" in its Business tier at a published "$99/month". Typeform's published plans do not list SSO, leaving contact-only Enterprise as the route.

Paperform's Business tier includes 5 users and charges "$9/month/user" beyond that to a maximum of 25, so an organisation large enough to want SSO should price the seats before assuming it is the cheaper option.

How volume is metered
Paperform:A yearly submission budget: "1,200 / year" on Essentials, "12,000 / year" on Pro, "120,000 / year" on Business
Typeform:A monthly response allowance: "100 responses/mo included" on Basic, "1,000 responses/mo" on Plus, "10,000 responses/mo" on Business

The core structural difference. Paperform lets a quiet month subsidise a busy one; Typeform resets the meter every month.

Entry paid tier price
Paperform:Essentials, "$24/month" or "$288/year"
Typeform:Basic, $29/month on monthly billing, $25/month on annual billing

Within a dollar of each other at annual billing. Price is not the deciding line between these two.

Volume included at the entry paid tier
Paperform:"1,200 / year"
Typeform:"100 responses/mo included", which is 1,200 across a year

Identical annual volume, bought two different ways. Only the shape of your traffic breaks the tie.

Paying for overflow
Paperform:Published top-ups: "+ $7.50/month/additional 3,000 (max 9,000)" on Essentials, "+ $10/month/additional 6,000 (max 30,000)" on Pro
Typeform:No overage or top-up rate published on the pricing page; the published path to more volume is the next plan up

Paperform, on disclosure. It publishes what exceeding the allowance costs, and where the ceiling is.

Business tier price and volume
Paperform:Business, "$99/month", "120,000 / year"
Typeform:Business, $99/month monthly or $83/month annual, "10,000 responses/mo", which is 120,000 across a year

The same headline price for the same annual volume. Typeform is cheaper only if you commit to annual billing.

Forms included
Paperform:Unlimited forms on every tier, including Free
Typeform:"Unlimited typeforms" from Basic upward

Level. Neither vendor rations the number of forms.

Users included
Paperform:1 (Free), 1 (Essentials), 3 (Pro), "5 + $9/month/user (max 25)" (Business)
Typeform:1 (Basic), 3 (Plus), 5 (Business)

Level through the middle tiers. Paperform publishes a per-seat rate above five; Typeform's page does not.

Custom domain
Paperform:"Custom domain" listed in Pro, "$49/month"
Typeform:"Custom subdomain" listed in Plus ($59/month monthly, $50/month annual); no full custom domain published below Enterprise

Paperform. These are not the same feature, and only one vendor publishes the full-domain version at a listed price.

Drop-off and conversion analytics
Paperform:Not listed among the published tier features
Typeform:"Drop-off rates, conversion tracking" in Business, $99/month monthly or $83/month annual

Typeform. It is the only one of the two that names abandonment analytics as a purchasable feature.

SSO
Paperform:"SSO (SAML)" in Business, "$99/month"
Typeform:Not listed on the published plans; Enterprise is custom-priced and contact-only

Paperform, for anyone who needs SSO at a price they can read off a page.

Specialist tiers
Paperform:None beyond Enterprise, which is contact-sales for "unlimited forms, submissions"
Typeform:Talent at $169/month ("3,000 responses/mo", "Video questions & answers", AI clarification) and Growth Flow at $349/month (lead enrichment 1,500/mo, Salesforce, email/SMS follow-ups)

Typeform. It sells packaged recruitment and lead-generation tiers that have no Paperform equivalent.

Ainda em dúvida entre estas duas?

Escolher é a parte fácil. O trabalho é pô-la a funcionar dentro da sua empresa, com os seus dados e com a sua equipa a usá-la. Nós fazemos as duas coisas.
