Ollama Team is now $500 a month flat for unlimited users
- Ce qui s’est passé
- Ollama's pricing page lists Team at $500/mo flat (early access) with unlimited users and $1,000 of usage credits per month shared across the team.
- Pourquoi c’est important
- Team pricing no longer scales with headcount (it was $25 per seat in August), and Pro ($60), Max ($300) and Team ($1,000) state their monthly allowance in dollar credits you can budget against.

Our take: this is a pricing reshuffle for Ollama's paid cloud, not a reason to rethink Ollama itself. The local runtime stays free and stays our Recommended pick for running open-weight models on your own hardware. The flat Team rate favours larger teams: at $500 a month it costs the same whether you have 5 users or 50. Dollar-denominated credits also make Ollama Cloud easier to budget.
What happened
We read Ollama's official pricing page on September 30, 2026, and rechecked it on October 20, 2026. It lists the Team plan at $500 per month, labelled Early access, with unlimited users and $1,000 of usage credits per month, shared across the team.
In August the same page listed Team at $25 per seat per month with a 5-seat minimum (our August report).
Every self-serve cloud plan meters usage in dollars:
| Plan | Price | Usage included |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Starter usage credits, 1 concurrent request |
| Pro | $20/mo, or $200/yr billed annually | $60 of usage credits per month, 3 concurrent requests |
| Max | $100/mo | $300 of usage credits per month, 10 concurrent requests |
| Team | $500/mo (early access) | $1,000 of usage credits per month, shared across the team, 10 concurrent requests |
| Enterprise | Custom | Model access controls, cost budgets per user and API key |
The page mentions no sign-up pause, waitlist or capacity limit anywhere.
Why it matters
Team pricing no longer scales with headcount. The Team plan is $500 a month for unlimited users, so the cost per user drops as the team grows.
The allowance can be budgeted. "$60 of usage credits per month" tells heavy users exactly where the allowance ends.
Local use is unaffected. Running open-weight models on your own hardware with the Ollama runtime still costs nothing.
What changes for you
- Evaluating Team: compare the $500 flat rate with individual Pro ($20/mo, $60 of credits) or Max ($100/mo, $300 of credits) seats for the usage you actually have.
- Larger teams: check whether $1,000 of shared monthly credits covers your real usage. Anything beyond it is billed as you go from a shared team balance.
- Mixing Ollama Cloud with other hosted providers: an AI gateway such as LiteLLM or Bifrost, both Conditional in our directory, puts multiple providers behind one OpenAI-compatible API.
- Local-only users: nothing to do. The open-source runtime stays free.
FAQ
Does this change Ollama's directory verdict? No. Our Recommended verdict is about the local inference engine, and that is unchanged. This change affects only the paid cloud tiers.
When did the change take effect? The page doesn't say.
What happens after the Team credits run out? The pricing page says Team usage draws from a shared team balance billed as you go. For every plan, including Free, Ollama uses included credits first, then draws from any usage credits you have bought. Model rates are listed per million tokens in the page's model pricing table.
What we have not confirmed
The page does not say when the current Team pricing took effect, and we have not checked how its per-million-token model rates are charged against a team balance once included credits run out. We have not tested Ollama Cloud billing ourselves.

- 2 Larger teams: check whether $1,000 of shared monthly credits covers your real usage, since overage is billed as you go
- 3 Local-only users: no action, the open-source runtime stays free
